The Beaches

The Beach neighbourhood offers a feeling of amini getaway from Toronto. It is a beautiful area located on the east side of Toronto on the shores of Lake Ontario. The area has a great boardwalk, many parks, numerous walking trails and an array of shops and restaurants along Queen Street East. The Beach also offers many workout facilities, yoga studios, community centres and an overall sense of involvement. Downtown is accessible by a 30- to 40-minute street car ride along Queen Street.

There are many styles of housing in this area including two-storey, three-storey, semi-detached and detached houses. There are still a small number of bungalows as well but most have been replaced with larger homes. There are a few low-rise condominiums too. It’s a family-oriented neighbourhood – strollers and dogs abound.
